Larsen V.E.T. offers to take the work out of Embryo Transfer by boarding your donors (wet or dry) at one of our sites close to the collection facility. Donors are housed in small groups according to physical size and phase of production. Our boarding facilities offer diets tailored for each donor’s individual state of production and include: hay, alfalfa, custom protein supplement and mineral. Hormones are administered by our staff on schedule for each particular donor.

Producers may prefer to keep their donors at home for the superovulation process. Larsen V.E.T. will supply all the necessary supplies, along with a complete schedule detailing injections and their appropriate timing.

Donor Collections (or flushes) can be performed at the donor facility, or at home. Our custom-made ET trailer is available for collections, embryo freezing and transfer (fresh or frozen). The trailer removes the issue of inclement weather, while at the same time, providing a low-stress environment for the cattle. Our facilities can also handle trailer loads of recipients for transfers.          

Dr. Larsen maintains approval of the American Embryo Transfer Association for shipment of frozen embryos internationally. Each country has distinctive entry requirements, so this process requires an array of advanced planning.

Larsen V.E.T. is an IVF satellite center for TransOva Genetics. We house IVF donors or accept haul-ins for OPU. Dr. Larsen is well equipped to transfer fresh or frozen IVF embryos at the location of your choice.

Recipients may be available for implantation of your embryos. Larsen V.E.T. will perform all synchronization and transfer the embryos. Cows will be confirmed pregnant at 90 days, at which time all recipients must be removed from our facility. Available and pricing vary. Please inquire with Dr. Larsen if interested.

Dr. Larsen has extensive experience with reproductive ultrasound, including fetal dating and guaranteed fetal sexing. Our state of the art digital ultrasound and portable chute with sun cover aids accuracy and efficiency.
